The Master of Health Sciences in Internal Medicine is a 3 semester program that is delivered in a hybrid format. It is designed for medical graduates and physicians who wish expand their understanding of the field of internal medicine.
Students will explore human body systems and methods of preventing, diagnosing, and treating simple and complex diseases affecting adults. They will investigate topics such as health promotion, patient care, and the physician patient relationship.
The program provides significant real-world experience through a series of required and elective clinical placements. For the elective placements, students can choose an area of practice they are interested in including but not limited to cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and dermatology.
The program is completed through independent study and experiential learning. Students can work through courses at their own pace, under the guidance of faculty and with the support of peers.
Graduates will be prepared to pursue an internal medicine residency program leading to a career as an internist.
To be considered for admission to the program, the applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
If an applicant does not meet the GPA requirement for the program but has relevant experience in the subject area and satisfies each of the other requirements, they will be considered for admission. An interview or prior learning assessment may be requested as part of the admissions process.

The Master of Health Sciences in Internal Medicine covers a broad range of topics within internal medicine. The program can be completed in 3 semesters, or 9 months, however students have the flexibility to complete coursework at their own pace.
